Moses Zapien


Born and raised in Stockton, Moses was the first in his family to graduate from college and has dedicated his life and career to serving his community. After attending University of the Pacific and University of Southern California, Moses followed his dreams and became an attorney, earning his law degree from Laurence Drivon School of Law. Furthering his education, Moses recently earned a master’s in public affairs from UC Berkeley.

Moses started his career in public service in 2012 when he was elected to serve on the Stockton City Council, where he worked to improve the socioeconomic state of the City. He then was appointed by Governor Brown to serve on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and elected as Chairman in 2016. In 2017, Moses was appointed as the CEO/President of the Foundation.
